December 2: Holiday Parade & Light Up Durham, 512 Mangum Street, Downtown Durham. Volunteers Needed to Participate in Parade. Meet at our office by12:30 pm. Parade Starts at 2:00 pm (sharp). Call us for more details!

December 10: Durham Companions Anniversary Gala (Semi-formal, Sunday Best), Duke University’s Searle Conference Center, Tickets: $50.00.
Banquet Honorees: Mr. Steve Chalmers, Police Chief, City of Durham and Mr. Charles Lyons, Executive Director of the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs.
Guest Speaker will be Benjamin Ruffin, President of the Ruffin Group. Proceeds from our silent auction will benefit programs sponsored by Durham Companions. Donations Needed for Silent Auction! Please call for more details.

January is National Mentoring Month

Friday, January 12: “Who’s the Best Match” Writing Contest begins. Contest details, contact donna@durhamcompanions.org. Contest ends, 5 pm, Monday, January 22. Noexceptions. Winners announced Thursday, January 24 during special dinner.
